  • Abstract:

    The volume presents a contents index of the magazine “Russkoye Bogatstvo” (Russian Wealth) for the years of its publication by the “neonarodniki” editorial board (1892–1918). Taking into account specific tasks of the series, new principles of bibliographic description have been developed. The use of archival material, which is typical for the series, has made it possible not only to describe each work, which is traditional for bibliographic reference books of this kind, but also to attribute almost the entire group of authors — about 650 names. For the first time in academic practice, data on fee rates and amounts earned for each work have been introduced, which ultimately shows the specific weight of a particular author in the magazine. Particular attention is paid to editorial materials that are usually not described in bibliographic reference books: editorial notes correcting published materials, lists of typos, editorial correspondence, advertisements for the editorial board’s publications and other periodicals. The main characters of the volume are the members of the magazine’s editorial board: N.K. Mikhailovsky, V.G. Korolenko, A.I. Ivanchin-Pisarev, A.G. Gornfeld, N.F. Annensky, P.F. Yakubovich, A.V. Peshekhonov, V.A. Myakotin, N.S. Rusanov, F.D. Kryukov. But the annotated name index also pays much attention to third-party authors of “Russkoe Bogatstvo”: their correspondence with members of the editorial board regarding certain works is included, biographical information about the authors, absent even in detailed reference publications, is introduced into academic circulation. The contents index of “Russkoe Bogatstvo” for 1892–1918, accompanied by an annotated index of its authors and employees, is the key to understanding the magazine as a whole and the basis for further work on the material. The publication is intended for historians, literary historians, bibliographers, sociologists, cultural historians, and other humanities specialists interested in the period under study.
